Is this the way to Aberystwyth?

Indeed it is. And it makes me feel sick (literally, travel sick).

But anyway, today I went to Aber Uni Open Day. And it was good. I really liked it. Possibly a bit more than Birmingham. And it’s by the sea! It was really cool, and I liked the halls, and the campus and the town and…ARGH! I just loved it. And it’s Welsh! Hoozah! (Because I do love the Welsh!) And it means I can learn to speak Welsh…double Hoozah-ness!

It was a bit cold and windy (though it didn’t rain) but it was still really cool! I can’t really explain why I like it, but I think that’s a good thing, ‘cos that means it kind of…feels right. I know that sounds odd and weird, because it is odd and weird, but it makes sense to me.

But yes, we walked all along the sea front and then had fish and chips (well, I had chicken and mushroom pie and chips, but it still counts) and wandered round some shops. I learnt how to pronounce the double L (tongue on roof of mouth near teeth, make tongue movement like an L whilst voicelessly breathing out) and bought a book.

Oh. One thing. We lost signal to Radio 1 on the way (it was Jo Whiley, I wasn’t that bothered), so we turned to the next available station. Radio 2. How can people complain about how Chris Moyles and Radio 1 are degrading society and whatnot when they listen to Radio 2? It is a million times worse. In the 10 minutes we had it on, they discussed a dead camel being found by the roadside in Sweden, how ‘these days that start with a T are easily confusible (the presenter said Thursday when it’s Tuesday) and how one man had phoned in to say hsi wife blamed them for making her fat because they played a song about a grill and it made her hungry. How is that good and sensible and intelligent? HOW?!

Grr. Anyway , summary for today:

Aber Uni = Love

Radio 2 = Hate
